Award Winning artist Edmund Ian Grant will be exhibiting his latest work at LMNT during the International Biennale Artists Exhibition (June 7-26, 2012) that will take place this coming Thursday, June 7th, 2012 at 7PM.
A native of California, Grant lives and works from the Napa Valley and has been producing a large body of work continuously for the last 26 years.
Grant was awarded the 2011 First Prize in Painting by the Anglo-Italian Academy of Arts at the Biennale of Chianciano which was held at the Chianciano Art Museum in Tuscany, Italy.
The award was judged by international renowned expertsfrom organizations such as the European Confederation of Art Critics and the Oxford University Alumni group and it wascurated by specialists that have staged shows in museums such as the Victoria & Albert in London and the Leighton Museum.
In Miami, Grant will present one of his new works, “The Unraveling,” a piece that has been honored by the Chianciano Art Museum to promote an upcoming show in September entitled “The Art of the Mind,” a collective exhibition by artists who are able to capture emotions and expressing interpretations of life and its communicating philosophies of existence.
“With this and other new works, I examine the unveiling of our souls from what is behind the mask of human existence,” said Edmund Ian Grant.
Both works, “The Unraveling” and “Eve’s Garden” which will be exhibited at the International Biennale Artists Exhibition are characterized by Grant’s signature brand of sensuality, bold lush color, and open ground for interpretation.
“I am fascinated by the strong use of color coupled with imagination, story-telling, experimentation with new media, and the elements of line and sensuality; art is like a remedy, poking and prodding at the narcissism of censorship and the status quo of what is ‘accepted’ thought,” added Grant.
