Kuyayky Performs at WLRN’s Folk & Acoustic Music Show

On Sunday June 10th, 2012, WLRN 91.3FM presented a special performance by Kuyayky, a group of five young musicians of Andean descent that live in Miami.
The performance directed by Kuyayky’ Executive Director Candy Hurtado took place during WLRN’s Folk & Acoustic Music show with WLRN Producer & Host, Michael Stock.
Kuyayky’s goal is to reach out to the world community through music, that is as innovative as it is traditional. The group started as a musical ensemble formed by Jose Hurtado Zamudio and Edda Bonilla Peña and their five children.
The group understands the importance of the cultural awareness as a way to foster the development of the Andean people through their own music and traditions.
Today, Kuyayky continues to perform and record, but it has also developed into the Kuyayky Foundation.
