Wolfsonian FIU Films: “United in Anger”
On Friday August 10th, 2012 at 7:00PM, The Wolfsonian FIU will present a feature-length documentary entitled “United in Anger, a History of Act Up.”
Co-presented by the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and Visual Aids, the documentary combines startling archival footage from 25 years ago and interviews from the ACT UP Oral History Project.
It explores ACT UP- the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power- from a grassroots perspective in how a small group of men and women of all races and classes came together to change the world and save each other’s lives.
The 93 min-film is directed by Jim Hubbard.
Free for Wolfsonian members and all others $10.
